Five Smart Phone Apps To Improve Your Productivity

Everyone who uses a Smart Phone soon gets addicted to the convenience of having one. When my husband, who is not very technologically advanced, was looking into buying one, a nearby customer told him getting a Smart Phone was, “The best thing I have ever done”. It is no wonder that one of the reasons smart phones are so popular is because of all the smart phone apps that help with productivity and organization.

Astrid Task/To-do List
Has your life become so complicated that you could use an assistant! There’s an app for that. Get your life in order with Astrid’s free to do list app for iPhone and Android. Organize your life with lists, sub lists and reminders. Divide group projects into tasks and assign tasks to others. Make the ultimate honey-do list! The app also includes reminders so you don’t have to keep reminding (or nagging as the case may be). When a task is completed, you are notified. How great is that?

Evernote
Evernote, the free app for Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone allows you to save notes, saves what you like online and makes your favorites, notes, and lists accessible from almost any internet connected device. With Evernote you can share or collaborate with others, keep all of your information for a project together in one place for quick access to them with the built in search feature.

Pulse
If you are anything like me, you have several websites, blogs, newsletters that you like to keep up with, and visiting them all can cut into your day. The Pulse Reader app helps you out by consolidating all of your favorite online publication on one page where you can scan the headlines for the ones you want to read, share what you want to share or save for offline reading. Using this app will save you a lot of time and make the rest of your day more productive.

Google Wallet

You can use Google Wallet to make all of your online purchases secure simply by using your Google account to pay for purchases with credit cards numbers you have stored in the Google cloud. With the Google Wallet mobile app you can now use the app at brick and mortar stores who accept Google Wallet and pay with a tap on the screen. At brick and mortar stores payment comes from either your Google prepaid card or Citi Master Card.  The Google app will also store your reward cards and synchronize Google offers, another of Google’s enterprises.

GateGuru
GateGuri app for Android and iPhone smart phones can be a great companion to have along the next time you are in an airport. With detailed maps of the airport to help you find your airport terminal, find the best food, and find out anticipated wait times, the GateGuru is like having your own personal guide. GateGuru also integrates with Tripit and Kayak for flight details, as well as Gowalla, Foursquare, Twitter, and Facebook for sharing.

Although it may seem that apps are taking over our lives, the truth is apps are helping us become more productive and organized and since for many of us, time is money, being more productive and organized is a smart way to be.
